Jocelyn
A. Brown (Director) Jocelyn recently became eagerly involved in The Chance Theater as the Literary Manager once she returned from dabbling in Seattle fringe theatre to pursue her directing interests in Orange County. Jocelyn studied directing, acting, and singing at the University of California San Diego and the University of East Anglia in England. Directing credits in Southern California include "Little Victories", "Facing East", "The Mystery of Edwin Drood", "Why Ophelia?", and "Last Summer at Bluefish Cove", as well as assistant directing "Lonesome West", "Bosoms and Neglect", and "Entertaining Mr. Sloane" at South Coast Repertory. Jocelyn has portrayed Teresa in "The Hostage", Jo in "Low Level Panic", Josephine in "The Mad Woman of Chaillot", various roles in the one woman show "The Wedding", Mrs. Cratchit in "A Christmas Carol", Shelly in "The Interrogation", and Cathos in "The Affected Ladies". Joseph Hullett (Playwright) Joe is delighted to return to the Chance with "Confirmation" where his "Wish You Were Here" premiered two years ago. "Folks at the Chance are by far the best I've worked with at helping new plays and a kick to be around," he says. Presented from coast to coast, Joe's full-length plays, also including "The Pledge", "Crossing the Line", "Skin for Skin", and "True Believer", have won the Julie Harris Award, a Ventana Play Award, and 2nd Prize for the Lee Korf Award. "Confirmation" won 2nd Prize in the South Carolina Playwrights Competition and was selected as a finalist for the Pittsburgh International Contest. His short works have garnered 4th Prize in the West Coast Playwriting Contest and finalist selection for the Dubuque One-Act Contest and the prestigious Heideman Award. Also a psychiatrist, Joe recently completed his newest play "Trail of Tears". [top] |

Robert G. Davis (Lighting Designer) Robert is pleased to once again be appearing on the stage of the Chance Theater, previous favorite roles including Il Dotorre in "A Company of Wayward Saints" and Past in "I am Santa Claus". He is pleased to be working with Darryl once more as lighting designer, having collaborated earlier this season on the production of "The Angelina Project". Molly Dewane (Costume Design) Molly returns as costume designer for "Confirmation". Her costumes were last seen in The Chance Theater's production of "Our Town" and can currently be seen in the Main Stage production of "Therese Raquin". Previous design credits include "Best Christmas Pageant Ever", "The Belle of Amherst", "Light Up the Sky", "Lend Me a Tenor" and "Moon Over Buffalo". Molly is also the marketing director for The Chance Theater and a seasoned actress, singer, and dancer. [top] |
| Kim Kiedrowski (Solomon P. Cohen) Kim is delighted to be back at the Chance, his "home away from home." He would like to thank Jocelyn Brown for this marvelous opportunity. | Myrna Niles (Cailin O'Casey) Myrna is very happy to be making her first appearance at the Chance. She was involved with ART for many years, and performed as Mrs. Alving in "Ghosts", Trudy in "Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe", Mrs. Hemingway in "A Summer with Hemingway's Twin", and had the great honor to play "A" in Edward Albee's "Three Tall Women". She has also appeared in co-starring roles in "The Practice", "Ally McBeal", "Providence", "The Norm Show" and many others. She would like to thank her husband Tom for his love and support of her acting career. [top] |
| Bethany Prestigiacomo (Jeri Ransom) Bethany is originally from the Finger Lakes region of New York, and is making her West Coast acting debut with "Confirmation". Her most recent theater work has been in Miami, where she was honored with Best Actress of the Year 2000 for her performance in the one-woman show "O'Keeffe". She also won the New Theater Best Actress of the Year Award in 1998/99 for her portrayal of Josie in "Moon for the Misbegotten", and was part of the Carbonell Award-winning Best Production of the Year 1997 "Angels in America, I & II". Bethany is a member of SAG and is married to director Roberto Prestigiacomo, to whom she dedicates this performance. [top] |
| Tony Howley (Preston Woods) Tony is pleased as punch to be back with his ole pals at the Chance. He just came off directing a talent show for the youth cultural art center in bellflower for kids ages 5-18, he said it was a very rewarding experience. This is his fifth time on the Chance's stage. He has appeared in "The Stroop Report", "I Am Santa Claus", "Ten Little Indians", and "The Non-Christmas December Show". | Andrea Freeman (Brianna Tidemore) Andrea is pleased, excited and very happy to be back at the Chance. You may remember her from last season's "A Company of Wayward Saints" as Isabella. Some of her other favorite roles include Abigail in "The Crucible", and various roles in Fullerton College's production of "The Kentucky Cycle" (OC Weekly's Best College Play 2000). Recently she has taken up stage direction with her first production "poison" in the Resident Theater Company's Director's Festival. | Bob Campbell (President William Dixon) Bob is a retired Army sergeant from Dodge City, KS. Upon his retirement he decided to fulfill a life long desire to become an actor. This is his fourth performance for The Chance Theater. He has also appeared at Huntington Beach, Golden West College, the Vanguard and the Whitmore Theatre. | Casey Long (Lawrence Achenbach) Casey has been a part of The Chance Theater from very close to the beginning and may never live down his procastination. Casey founded the Incarnation Theatre Company of Covina and has directed such favorites as "The Odd Couple" and new works such as "I am Santa Clause". Casey's acting credits include Danny in "Laura", Billy in "Betterlands" both at the Long Beach Playhouse, Eric in "An Inspector Calls" at the Cypress Civic Theater, Robert in SCP's "But I Don't Feel Grown Up" and "Lethal Persuasion", Mordechai in "The Stroop Report", Laertes in "Hamlet", David in "To Gillian...", Dick Deadeye in "HMS Pinafore", Seth in "Facing East", and has just completed work on two independent films, "The Layover" and "Fink". | Paul Castellano (Senator Robert Kingman) Originally from NY, Paul began acting at the age of two. He has a BA and an MA in Philosophy and has done graduate work in Philosophy at the University of Strasbourg, France. Paul has worked all over Orange County, especially at The Theater District in Costa Mesa and Vanguard Theatre Ensemble, where he was a member. Some of his favorite roles include: Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar", Marc Antony in "Julius Caesar", and Carl in "Lonely Planet". This is Paul's first production at the Chance and he is extremely honored to have the good fortune to work with an outstanding director and good friend, Jocelyn Brown. [top] |
