Playwright Joseph Hullett's years of experience as a professional mediator came in handy
when writing 'Confirmation,' a fictional but timely look at the confirmation process for
becoming a US Supreme Court Justice. The intriguing premise involves an anti-choice jurist
and his girlfriend from decades earlier (now a prominent feminist activist) weighing their
consciences as to what can and can't be revealed to the public. No matter where one stands
on the controversial issue, Hullett is careful not to tip his bias one way or the other,
preferring to present the tale and allowing the audience to draw their own conclusions.
